In big or small ways -
from providing accommodation, food, advice, logistical help
or simply sharing something of their lives with a stranger -
the following people helped me through the odyssey.

I will never be able to acknowledge everyone - there were so many times that I failed to or was not able to get their names.  These included: the two motorcyclists who helped me find my way out of Madrid's rush-hour streets when it was time to leave; the boy in Egypt who I found cleaning Melawend but refused any payment;  and the woman in Tokyo who, though we didn't speak each other's language, went out of her way to show me the building I'd been looking for.

Thank you one and all for being there.

Thank you for being you.
